An ABC Family star is set to join the Greendale Community College family.

Katie Leclerc - who suffers from a real-life hearing impairment and who stars on Switched at Birth as Daphne Vasquez - will guest star on an episode of Community Season 5 as Carol, as confirmed by the star herself via Twitter.

Look for the character to serve as Abed's sign language tutor.

Leclerc has also made appearances on CSI and The Big Bang Theory.

NBC, meanwhile, is yet to announce a return date for Joel McHale and company.
