Castle recognizes the crosses carved into a dead body and the description of her mased assailant from when he was 11-years-old and found a woman’s body in Hollander’s Woods. He was then accosted by a masked figure who told him if he said a word, he’d be killed. Rick did anonymously call the police but they never found the body. As the years went by and he found no answers, he began to think it never happened. But is Rick's childhood memory of events enough to lead them to a killer who may still be killing decades later? Beckett backs him as they search for similar cases and end up finding Noah, who has been living in a house with his dead mother. The victim believe that Noah had abducted her friend. Had Noah killed them both in order to cover his tracks? It looks that way until Rick meets with Noah's psychiatrist and recognizes the man's voiced as that of the masked man he met when he was 11 years old. But is that memory enough to catch the killer?
