Sun Mai exits the back of a gym into an alleyway and is taken by two men at gunpoint.

Colter lands in Chicago, where he meets Bobby, who called him about his missing friend, Sun. He explains that Sun is an MMA fighter, and the two check out the alley behind the gym.

They find Sun’s burner phone with blood on it. Bobby tells Colter that Sun recently had an altercation with a fellow fighter, Dake, at the gym before her disappearance, and they head inside to talk to him.

Dake doesn’t want to talk at first until gym owner Art tells him to speak up. He explains that he and Sun had a disagreement but cleared the air, a story Art corroborates.

Art then tells Colter and Bobby that Sun and her mom’s visas were up, and she was dealing with that.

Colter and Bobby visit Sun’s mother, who tells them they paid a lawyer, George Prine, who said he would speed up the process to get their visas but scammed them and took their money.

Reenie has lunch with a FED lawyer and asks him to investigate whether Sun has been taken by ICE or deported in exchange for information on another case.

Velma and Teddi call Colter to tell him George Prine is using a fake name and isn’t an actual lawyer.

Colter goes to George’s office, and his assistant says he’s in court, though he’s revealed to be in his office. George grabs a gun and follows Colter down the street until Colter hides and then gets the drop on him.

George says he doesn’t know where Sun is, but Colter needs to look for the loan sharks she used to get the money to pay him. He explains he got a call from them saying Sun still owned them money, and he set up the meeting with her in the alley where she was taken.

Reenie tells Sun’s mother that Sun wasn’t deported or in ICE custody. She offers to help her with her immigration issues for free.

Colter tells Bobby everything he learned from Prine, including a partial plate from the loan shark van. Bobby then gives Colter the address where the van is registered.

Colter finds the van, breaks in, and finds money inside. Colter calls Bobby, who wants to come and help him, but Colter insists he stay put. He then hides inside the van when two men come and drive it off.

Reenie and Bobby discuss Colter being a lone wolf, and Bobby tells her that Colter got him out of a jam involving cyber hacking and the Russian mob.

When the van stops, Colter is able to sneak out and hide underneath while the men take the money and head inside a building. Colter then calls Bobby from Sun’s phone to come pick him up.

Bobby arrives to get him, and Colter tells him he left his phone inside the van so they could track it to its next location.

When they get to the van’s final destination, Colter insists Bobby stay in the car while he heads inside. He soon realizes he’s watching an illegal fighting ring, and he sees Sunny narrowly win before she’s taken to the back.

Bobby defies Colter’s command to stay in the car and heads inside.

Colter finds Sunny in the locker room and tells her they must leave. She insists her mother will be killed if she doesn’t fight until her debt is paid. Colter says they will never let her leave, and as they make to leave, they’re stopped at gunpoint by a man.

Bobby finds them and helps throw the man off balance so Colter can get the upper hand. But as the three look to escape, they run into another man and Art, who hold them at gunpoint.

It’s revealed Art is in charge of the illegal fighting ring, and Sun is the star who gets people in the door to watch. A fight ensues, and Colter eventually gets the one guy subdued while Art escapes.

He chases Art outside, and Bobby and Sun, now in Bobby’s car, corner him in the parking lot. Colter has him at gunpoint as they wait for the cops to arrive, and Bobby takes Sun away.

Reenie and Bobby visit the Mai’s, and Reenie tells them that with Prine getting arrested on various charges, they will be eligible for visas.

Sun thanks Bobby for his help, and he asks her out for a drink.

Later, Colter, Reenie, and Bobby meet, and Colter tells Bobby he doesn’t have to pay him. Bobby then invites Colter to dinner with them, but he takes a raincheck.
