CBS lifted the lid on a stunning teaser for NCIS Season 16 Episode 13, and it confirmed the hour would have a huge surprise.

Yes, the huge surprise will be in addition to having it focusing on some mysterious files from Ziva David (Cote de Pablo).

As you will be well aware, NCIS Fanatics, Ziva has been presumed dead for several years now, but there's always some skepticism when a character is killed off-screen.

It always leaves the option for a potential return, and this could be it.

We're surprised, but we're still not 100 percent sure whether we'll witness Ziva David in the flesh, or if this installment will focus more on the character's previous work as the synopsis suggests.

Either way, CBS sure found a way to get people talking about the show again.

"After a malnourished and confused 9-year-old is found hiding in a storage unit, NCIS reopens an old missing persons case when the girl is believed to be the daughter of a Navy recruit who disappeared ten years ago," reads the official logline.

"Also, Bishop discovers notes that Special Agent Ziva David kept on the case long after NCIS officially stopped investigating."

Sounds pretty awesome, right?

Could the big twist be that Ziva somehow survived and is with Tony in a place far, far away?

It would be pretty great.

In any case, Gibbs is pissed that someone is dragging up the past, and lashes out as a result.

Does he know more than he's been telling everyone all these years, or will he also be blindsided by the supposed secret?

NCIS Season 16 Episode 13 was originally scheduled to air on February 5, but President Trump will be taking to the small screen, so it has been bumped to February 12.
