Amanda Grayson is a human woman who was once a school teacher on Earth. She met Sarek when he was acting in the role as the Vulcan Ambassador to Earth. They married and she returned with him to Vulcan.

She gave birth to Spock in ShiKahr and raised him and his foster sister, Michael Burnham, on Vulcan until they each left to pursue careers with Starfleet.
