Ryan Murphy chatted with Deadline this week and revealed a couple of interesting tidbits regarding American Horror Story: Hotel.

FIRST, the creator said Dennis O'Hare will play a significant role on Season 5 of his drama anthology series, becoming the latest actor/actress to return to AHS.

He joins such alums as Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Finn Wittrock, Angela Bassett and Sarah Paulson.

SECOND, Murphy teased a different "tone" for the Hotel version of his show, largely because Jessica Lange will not appear, enabling the series to be more of a "true ensemble" this fall.

Expounded the executive producer:

"Everybody in the show is very excited about this season, Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters particularly because in every season thus far they've always been sort of the heroes, the good guy or the good lady so to speak, and this season they're playing absolute evil villains."

Elsewhere, the "Lady Gaga part is bananas good," Murphy said, adding that Matt Bomer and Wes Bentley will play very big roles this year.

Also, as previously reported, Max Greenfield will likely be killed.

American Horror Story: Hotel will premiere in October on FX.
