No Good Nick Canceled at Netflix

Netflix is parting ways with another original series.

No Good Nick, a family comedy series starring Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin, has been canceled after just one season.

The series focused on 13-year-old Nicole, who made her way into a family with the aim of getting revenge on them for ruining her life.

Little did she know, however, is that the family had no idea they had a part in the said ruining of her life.

In the end, she struggled to make sense of her feelings and weighed up her options on whether to follow through with her plan.

Siena Agudong (Star Falls), Lauren Lindsey Donzis (Liv & Maddie), and Kalama Epstein (The Fosters) rounded out the main cast.

The series comprised of 20 episodes, with Netflix airing it in two parts, the first of which dropped April 15 and the second on August 5.

Netflix is garnering a bit of a reputation of late for canceling series without conclusions.

No Good Nick joins The OA, Tuca & Bertie, Santa Clarita Diet, and Chambers as some of the most popular shows canceled without endings.

The streamer is said to make renewal and cancellation decisions after viewing 28 days worth of data, but there's no telling whether that is true.

For example, rumors of Santa Clarita Diet's cancellation emerged days after its third season premiere, but Netflix did not confirm it was toast until weeks later.

With the continued cancellations and forthcoming streaming services from competitors, things could get interesting in the streaming.

Of all the new ones on the horizon, Disney+ is expected to make the most significant impact thanks to it being home to some of the most popular movies around and the spinoffs based on well-known IP in the works.
