Blue Bloods Season 12 Episode 4 involves questions related to cover-ups and divided loyalties.

When Jamie and his partner happen upon a drunk cop, Jamie is disturbed that the cop's partner appears to be covering up a DWI. When Dorsey fights him off, he arrests him for disorderly conduct and proceeds to look into why cops are going to O'Rourkes, a local bar, instead of reporting serious bad behavior. As they investigate, Jamie discovers he is likely the only cop on the force who doesn't know about the bar's protection of cops.

Meanwhile, it's the last straw for Witten when a citizen spits in her face after she tries to break up a fight and she decides she can't take being a cop anymore. Eddie's attempts to get her to talk get nowhere and Witten eventually puts her papers in to quit.

And Danny and Baez investigate the death of a girl at a posh high school. At first, it seems like the girl's rich ex-boyfriend is the prime suspect, but then they find out some disturbing information about the teacher in charge of the school.
