Blue Bloods Season 13 Episode 11 revolves around overcoming guilt.

When Jamie learns a guy he arrested years ago is getting out of prison, he makes it his mission to help rehabilitate the man. Jamie feels guilty about helping send Liam away for an excessively long period of time and wants to make amends. He stops Liam from getting into a fight with a bartender and helps get him a job at a garage. However, soon, Jamie gets called to a hostage scene where the hostage-taker only has one demand: he wants Jamie to talk to him. It's Liam, and he wants to go back to jail.

Meanwhile, Danny and Baez try to find out who killed a chess hustler in the park, but the man's son keeps interfering with their investigation. The son was estranged from his father and feels like it's too late to make amends now but wants to get whoever killed him.

Danny also has his own guilt to deal with when he learns that the cop who covered for him right after Linda's death is seeking disability for injuries sustained in an accident on a case that was originally his.
