Doug Davidson born October 24, 1954 is an Emmy Award-nominated American TV actor. He was born in Glendale, California.
Since 1978, he has played private investigator Paul Williams on the soap opera The Young and the Restless.
In 1994, he hosted a syndicated version of The Price is Right, but the show was canceled after one season.
Davidson was given a tryout to succeed Bob Barker as host of the daytime version in January 2007 (Barker retired in June), but he was cut from the tryout list on April 13.
He has been married to actress Cindy Fisher since 1984. They have two children, Calyssa, 17, and Caden, 14.
