Was Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 Episode 1 an intense start to the new season or what?

We met (and lost) several new characters, watched Director Coulson make some tough calls, learned more about Fitz's condition and even visited with ex-S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Ward who's now being held prisoner.

ABC has released several photos from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2 Episode 2, an installment titled "Heavy is the Head" which features interactions between Fitz and Mack, as well as Director Coulson and mercenary Lance Hunter.

Thanks to the network's official episode description we know that General Talbot, Hydra and Creel (a.k.a Absorbing Man) will all be back.

Also Kyle MacLachlan's "Doctor" will make his debut which promises to impact one of our core team members. It's no secret MacLachlan is playing Skye's father, is it possible he puts her in harm's way?

Fitz's condition was heartbreaking and possibly the biggest shocker in the premiere. Is he truly better off without the real Simmons at his side?
