Scream Season 2 Episode 7 Review: Let The Right One In

So is Branson really a cat? How many lives does he have left?

I was definitely surprised to find him still alive on Scream Season 2 Episode 7 and surprised yet again to find him still alive at the end.

If he survives the fire, I'd be pretty darn impressed.

Not only is Branson still alive, but Ms. Lang was still holding on after being thrown over the stairs, as well. This killer is slacking, or falling asleep on the job, or something. He/she shouldn't be leaving victims alive all willy-nilly.

Okay, so Ms. Lang wasn't really his fault. He was interrupted before he could finish the job and carry out his original plan for Audrey. I'm not really sure what that was. Her theory made sense, but why did he lure Brooke to the school posing as Branson only to tell Audrey to come alone?

Ms. Lang's almost-murder scene felt reminiscent of Henry Winkler's from the original movie. She was alone in the school after hours being stalked by the killer, and there was a janitor in the hallway who sadly could not be played by Wes Craven. It would have been better if she had died, but we don't know if she'll survive her injuries.

Does Eli whisking Emma away to his secret hiding place, complete with dead bodies in the upstairs bathtub, make him more of a suspect? Or does it just point the finger even more strongly at Kieran?

Maybe Kieran had followed Eli there before and knew that's where he'd take her. With all the evidence mounting against him, he just feels way too obvious to actually be the killer.

I'm not sure I'm buying Eli as a suspect. He seems too small and scrawny to me. I'm not convinced he could throw Ms. Lang against the wall that hard and then toss her over the stairs so easily. I mean, the killer did have momentum going for him, but still.

Noah: First shut up, second, it's just a study session.
Audrey: Okay study session or study date? [Noah pauses] Oh my god Foster, learn to read a moment or you will be a virgin forever.

Of course, the same could be said for Zoe, who is also clearly a suspect. Noah caught her in that lie about her fall whereabouts, and she went snooping around on his computer. Of course, her explanation about therapy could be true, and her snooping tendencies could be jealousy.

We didn't actually see who she forwarded that email to, whether it was to herself or someone else.

If she's not the killer, she and Noah make a cute couple, though I did find it a little weird that she brought him a swim suit. I hope she bought him a new one, and didn't borrow that from her brother or something.

Noah buying condoms was absolutely hilarious. That lady could not have made that any more awkward or uncomfortable for him. I bet he high-tailed it out of that store and stopped somewhere else on the way home.

He really should thank Audrey. His virgin status is probably what's keeping him alive this long.

We don't get a lot of one-on-one time between Audrey and Brooke. It was fun getting to see the two of them interact away from the rest of the group.

Audrey is on the verge of confessing her story to Emma, but will she get a chance before her recording goes viral? How will Emma react?

Will Lang and Branson survive to see Scream Season 2 Episode 8?
