Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 13 Review: After Images

Liam, you need to start chanting, "the sun, the moon, and the truth" again and get yourself under control.

On Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 13, the new kids realize that there's a lot to learn from their elders. On the one hand, you've got Gerard trying to teach Monroe how to hunt properly, and on the other, you've got Scott trying to teach Liam not to underestimate his opponents.

It's a very interesting parallel between Scott and Gerard during the hour, and that's a sentence I never thought I'd write.

Channeling a Premonition - Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 13

They're both trying to share their wisdom with someone who thinks they know everything already, but at least Gerard made some headway with Monroe. Liam's still got a lot to learn. Who do you think is the better teacher: Scott or Gerard?

Somehow by making Gerard a teacher, he became a lot more enjoyable to watch. He's like the cranky old grandpa trying to get his granddaughter to listen to his words of wisdom, and then being super smug when he shows her up.

Gerard's always been someone that you should never underestimate, but this time around, he's managed to kick it up a notch, which is exciting. Strangely enough, I want to see him mold a hunter army and then have to be in charge of it and keep everyone in line. It could be extremely entertaining.

Scott: Something's not right. The arrow, the trip wire, the poison. These aren't amateurs.
Liam: They've never fought us before.
Scott: And you've never fought hunters, Liam. We need to stick together.

Now, let's switch gears and talk about Scott and Liam.

While Liam has a lot to learn, it was great that we actually saw proof that Liam has been preparing to take over as the leader (not the alpha, make no mistake) once Scott was off at college.

Liam was training so he would be ready when Scott left. He did not want to have to call Scott every time a new threat popped up in Beacon Hill; he wanted to be able to handle it on his own.

Liam was confident, perhaps overly so, but it was so nice to catch this glimpse of what Liam's like as a leader. His heart was in the right place, but he lacks the experience that Scott has.

Liam thinks that he and his pack can take on everything and everyone, no matter what. Liam is reminiscent of what Scott was like seasons ago before Scott had fought many battles. Liam has potential to be a great leader, but he needs to be able to control his wolf and not let his anger get the best of him.

If Scott left for UC Davis after this attack, do you think the supernaturals of Beacon Hills would be in good hands with Liam as their leader?

Hunter Flashbacks - Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 13

Nolan, you are one creepy kid. I feel like it's his eyes.

The introduction of Nolan and his random friend who seemed to give Nolan the task of exposing Corey is a little vague and confusing. It would be nice to know how their suspicion started and what prompted the Corey attack.

Yes, this is Beacon Hills where a gazillion and one supernatural attacks have happened, so it wouldn't be surprising if the townsfolk were suspicious. But we haven't seen any indication of that until now.

We need some answers on this high school faction that Nolan just got inducted to, or even just a brief "this is how it all began" kind of a deal. It's hard to accept that there's this group of high schoolers that's been lying in wait, recruiting people, and plotting on exposing supernaturals.

Making Decisions - Teen Wolf Season 6 Episode 13

It's different than Monroe's introduction.

She's a new character that just strolled into Beacon Hills, and she's one person. We're also already aware that hunters exist, so we do not really need any more answers to accept her presence and that she's a hunter with a vendetta against supernatural creatures.

Monroe's a lone wolf, so to speak, while Nolan was encouraged to expose Corey. Are you surprised that the students of Beacon Hills High are turning against supernaturals?
