Angela's Mother
Riley: Do you have any idea who might have killed Angela?
Mark: No. She was amazing. But... she worked with a lot of people who were terrible.
Violet: This is a list of the recently paroled offenders that Angela worked with. Some pretty big hitters on here too. Rapists. Killers.
Dixon: Could be something. Could be nothing. Then again, I have no idea what these guys dream of in prison.
Sean: It could be that Angela was a whore so one of the guys she hooked up with —
Shaw[getting in his face]: SAY THAT AGAIN!
Baxter: I'll take first chair.
Nolan: You? But you're the district attorney. Surely you have more important things to do.
Baxter: Than get justice for a woman who was murdered?
Baxter: The election's coming up in less than a month.
Nolan: Maybe I should take first chair.
Baxter: What's that supposed to mean?
Nolan: I'm not encumbered by the political baggage you are.
Baxter: I don't want to hide, Nolan. I want to win.
I'm sorry if Jack McCoy leaving disrupted the stability in your life. But I'm going to be as transparent as I can. I am not the next Jack McCoy. I do not want to be the next Jack McCoy. But that does not mean that I am whoring this office out to whichever cases will win me reelection.
Baxter
Baxter: I want to win reelection because I love trying cases and I love getting people justice. And if you can't accept that's who I am, you can get the hell out.
Nolan: I think you're the one whose perception of me is beginning to affect this relationship. I'm not the one comparing you to Jack McCoy. But there is no point to us debating this. We have a trial to win and Sean Payne takes the stand tomorrow.
