Nicky Shen continues her journey trying to learn more about the weapons.

Ryan introduces Joe to his family.

Nicky offers to help Evan when the case he's working on takes a turn; Ryan decides to officially introduce Joe as his boyfriend to his parents; Zhilan and Kerwin receive a surprise visitor.

Zhilan's plans take an interesting turn.

Evan does not want Nicky's help with the case, but Nicky insists that she is able to make a difference with the case, and Evan knows that she will help no matter what he says.

She cares about helping other people.

Zhilan and Kerwin get a visit from his dad, who immediately attacks the two lovers.

Mei-Li and Jin are surprised to learn that Ryan has a boyfriend, but they take the information much better than Ryan thought (eventually).

Joe and the family get along nicely.

Evan finally lets Nicky help him on his case. The kid Evan is trying to help is mad at Evan because he hasn't found the truth yet, and the kid was forced to plea out.

Nicky chimes in and uses her compassion to calm the kid down.

Nicky pledges to help, and promises to make Evan help too.

The intruder has tied Zhilan and Kerwin up, and starts ransacking her place.

Nicky enlists Althea's help to find information that will help the kid's current situation, and she truly does believe that he's innocent.

Nicky chooses to go undercover to try and find proof that the kid is innocent, to back up her feelings.

The man threatens Zhilan's life, which almost has Kerwin reveal the truth, which Zhilan does not want him doing.

Nicky crashes a college party.

Kerwin reveals the weapons to his father's man.

The man tells Kerwin to kill Zhilan, but he kills the man instead, and Zhilan escapes her bindings, to kill the armed guards.

Kerwin is in shock from killing the man.

Nicky continues to scout out the party to see if she can find any evidence.

Mei-Li admits to Ryan that she likes Joe, and she embarrasses Ryan in front of Joe.

Ryan asks Joe to Althea's wedding, but Joe does not give him an answer.

Nicky finds the evidence they need but then gets caught by the guy running the party.

Nicky takes down the guy and his friend with ease, but not before they destroy Nicky's phone and the video.

Joe reveals that he is going to Chicago because he was recruited.

Ryan is devasted, and they part ways for the time being.

They approach the girl who witnessed the incident, but she tells Nicky and Evan that she does not want to come forward due to being threatened by the frat guys.

Althea convinces her to testify, and they get her statement.

They get the kid released from jail, and Evan starts to get his case against the frat boys.

Evan admits to Nicky that he is having second thoughts about his job as a police officer.

Nicky admits that she has feelings for him, but that she wants to be with Henry.

Evan is disappointed but is not completely broken.

They pledge to be friends, and Nicky departs.

Zhilan speaks to Kerwin about killing his first person, and how he is broken up about it.

Kerwin appreciates the guidance and they get intimate.

Althea decides to call her lawyer in the morning, taking her own advice about telling the truth.

Nicky bursts into the library and asks Henry to be her date for the wedding.

Nicky rambles, and Henry kisses her, letting her know that things haven't changed between them.

Henry left a tape playing, and her Aunt sang a song, and in the song, a location of a weapon is revealed.
