NBC has yet to announce the fate of most of its series.
This Is Us, Shades of Blue, The Good Place and Superstore were gifted with early renewals for additional seasons.
All four Chicago series are locks to return for additional seasons.
What about the likes of Blindspot, Law & Order: SVU, Timeless, and The Blacklist?
Have a look below to find out which shows should be around next fall!
1.
This Is Us - Renewed
This Is Us was the big success story of the 2016-2017 season. Season 1 averaged 9.8 million viewers and a 2.7 rating. NBC knew the show was the real deal and subsequently gave the series a two-season renewal.
2.
Chicago Fire - Certain Renewal
Chicago Fire is down just marginally in Season 5. It is currently averaging 7.3 million viewers and a 1.6 rating. It's safe.
3.
Law & Order: SVU - Likely Renewal
This veteran procedural drama is down slightly to 6 million viewers and a 1.4 rating. It will be renewed as long as the cast signs up for another go around.
4.
Chicago PD - Certain Renewal
Chicago PD Season 4 has slipped a little. It is currently averaging 6.6 million viewers and a 1.4 rating. It's hard to imagine NBC parting with any members of the Chicago franchise this season.
5.
The Good Place - Renewed
This hilarious comedy series averaged 4.7 million viewers and a 1.4 rating. Being the highest rated comedy on the network, it was renewed.
6.
Chicago Med - Certain Renewal
Chicago Med moved to a new night and the ratings took a hit. Season 2 is averaging 6.7 million viewers and a 1.3 rating. It's still safe for another year.
7.
Chicago Justice - Likely Renewal
Chicago Justice is not doing very well on Sunday nights, but it won't be canceled after one season. It is currently averaging 6.7 million viewers and a 1.3 rating.
8.
Superstore - Renewed
Superstore has shed almost 20 percent in Season 2. It is averaging 4.2 million viewers and a 1.2 rating. The show has been renewed.
9.
Taken - Renewed
Taken has been renewed.
10.
Timeless - Likely Cancellation
Timeless had a decent premiere, but ratings tailed off throughout its run. Season 1 averaged 4.6 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. It's doubtful the solid DVR ratings will save the show.
11.
Trial & Error - Likely Cancellation
This freshman comedy series is averaging 4.6 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. It is on a downward trend and NBC does not own the show. Unless a ratings miracle happens, it won't be back.
12.
Blindspot - Likely Cancellation
Blindspot has slipped 40 percent in Season 2. It is currently averaging 5.1 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. It is not owned by Fox, so barring a miracle, it will not be back for Season 3.
13.
Grimm - Ending
Grimm is airing its final season on NBC. Season 6 is averaging 4.1 million viewers and a 0.8 rating.
14.
The Blacklist - Likely Renewal
The Blacklist is averaging 5.5 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. It is down 25 percent in the demo, but NBC will probably renew it for one final season. It is still a powerhouse in delayed viewing.
15.
Shades of Blue - Renewed
NBC wants to stay in business with Jennifer Lopez ... even if her show is down almost 30 percent year-to-year. Season 2 is averaging 4.6 million viewers and a 0.9 rating.
16.
The Blacklist: Redemption - Could Go Either Way
This show is not performing well. Season 1 is averaging 4.1 million viewers and a 0.8 rating. As a midseason replacement to bridge the gap for the parent series, it could return. Sony TV has been known in the past to wheel and deal to keep their shows on the air.
17.
Powerless - Certain Cancellation
Powerless is averaging just 2.5 million viewers and a 0.8 rating. It makes little impact with DVR. It won't be back.
18.
Emerald City - Certain Cancellation
Emerald City was poised to be the network's replacement for Grimm, but it struggled in the ratings. It ranks as the lowest rated scripted series with 3 million viewers and a 0.7 rating.
