Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 6 Review: No More Mr. Nice Kai

at .

Holy Hot Potatoes!

Fiji went full-fledged darkside on Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 6 and didn't have a care in the world as havoc engulfed the rest of the Midnighters.

The crazy things people will do for love!

Jumping to the Darkside - Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 6

All Fiji wanted was a way for her and Bobo to be together, but she plunged herself into something so deep, she may never get out of it.

The sad (or bad) thing is that she seems to be enjoying every minute of being a dark witch. She gets her man, and she doesn't have to be Miss Goody Two Shoes anymore.

I like this new Fiji. A lot.

It's going to take a while for anyone to figure out something's not quite right with their favorite witch.

Bobo's too blinded to see that she's playing him, and the rest of them are going to be too busy trying to put everything back the way it was before the trickster arrived.

By the time things start calming down, whatever Celeste has planned for Fiji will be in full effect.

Kai on the Rampage - Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 6

Kai might be looking like the guy behind it all, but I still can't let go of my suspicions about Patience.

She's in on it, too.

And it wouldn't surprise me if she was the one who offed Creek.

I'm still stunned that Creek might be dead.

What's strange is Bobo claiming he saw her drive off and that she left her jacket on Manfred's table.

There's still some trickery happening in Midnight and someone else is behind it. Or something.

Joe waking up that caged head and leaving it there was a bad move on his part.

Goodbye Creek! - Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 6

I know they couldn't take it with them because of all the spells surrounding it, but he should have put it back into sleeping mode before he and Manfred left.

Joe won't have any time (or interest) in figuring out how to break the spells now that Chuy is in full-on demon mode which makes it clear that the trickster arriving in town was planned.

He didn't just show up because he had nothing better to do.

Someone summoned him to wreak havoc in Midnight.

Isn't it a bit coincidental that he showed up just as Fiji changed into a dark witch?

Fiji is the key to releasing that head from its cage.

It makes perfect sense.

While Manfred is busy trying to find Creek's killer, Joe busy with Chuy, and the rest of the Midnighters split up trying to help those two, no one will be paying attention if Fiji starts fiddling around in the hotel.

Chuy in Form - Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 6

And now that Kai has banned them all from ever stepping foot in the hotel again, no one will ever know if Fiji is in there working her dark magic on the caged head.

Even if she was caught, she could play it off like she was helping her friends, and they would be none the wiser until it was too late for them all.

But what's the end game?

Is this all part of a plan to open up the gates to hell that the Midnighters thought they closed on Midnight Season 1?

Vampire Again - Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 6

If Kai plans on using all the supernatural powers to create an army (as someone suggested in the comments here recently), our team won't have a chance -- even with Lem's newly restored vampire powers.

He can't fight them all off by himself.

Bobo needs to open his eyes and his mouth to his friends and tell them what Fiji did. I still can't believe he just stood there and let her embrace the dark.

What a dufus.

He didn't even make a fuss when he found Fiji sitting on the porch with the trickster drinking martinis while everything went to hell in Midnight (best scene of the night, btw.)

He must really not want her to turn him into a dog again.

Or it could be all that hot witch sex has clouded his senses.

Whatever it might be, Bobo needs to be the hero in Midnight.

He needs to save himself and his friends, but most of all, he has to save Fiji!

Over to you!

What did you think of "No More Mr. Nice Kai"?

Do you like dark witch Fiji?

Is Creek really dead?

Will Chuy ever forgive Joe?

Midnight, Texas Season 2 Episode 6 Quotes

You're sleeping with a married woman, and we broke up five minutes ago. I guess I didn't think you were that guy.

Creek

Manfred: I know Kai is stockpiling supernatural powers. I saw them.
Patience: No. He locks them away for safekeeping. The energy he extracts is like toxic waste. Once he removes it, he can't just throw it away. It's dangerous.
