Blue Bloods Season 13 Episode 13 revolves around the difficulties some Reagans have separating work and personal lives.

When Eddie arrests a young woman who claims to have killed her boss in self-defense, she hires Jack for her. Erin resents Eddie's interference in her case. Erin doesn't believe the woman acted in self-defense and thinks Eddie had no right to tell her to get a lawyer, much less hire one for her. Meanwhile, Eddie encourages Jack not to give up on Erin and admits to Erin that she thinks Erin and Jack are a great couple.

Meanwhile, during an FBI operation, Joe Hill breaks down a door when he hears the occupants of a house flushing drugs down the toilet. The FBI agent in charge complains to Frank that Joe broke the rules even though Joe followed standard NYPD protocol. Frank shuts down the FBI agent's accusations of nepotism but privately disciplines Joe for not following orders. Joe resents it and claims Frank is trying to stop him from being like his father.

Finally, Danny and Baez search for a serial killer who is attacking young women and putting rosaries next to their dead bodies.
