Chicago Med Season 6 Episode 12 revolves around parents and children.

Dr. Charles takes a reluctant Anna to work with him because she has been sneaking out of the house at night and therefore can't be trusted. They are interrupted by Mona, the patient that has lately been stalking Charles. Later, while Anna is not around, Mona comes back into the ED. She's ingested some sort of poison but won't tell anyone but Charles what it is. Charles eventually goes against Sharon's advice and counsels her, but just as they are getting somewhere Anna interrupts to ask for the WiFi password and Mona runs away.

Meanwhile, Nat learns that her mom's heart condition is getting worse. She wants to get her into Will's trial but it's closed. Will talks to Veroni who says no exceptions, especially after Will admits to her he unblinded a patient in the past. Veroni is angry and feels Will jeopardized everything, and they have a big meeting with someone higher up in the research company to attend but she doesn't know what to do.

While Will and Veroni are doing that, Carol rejects her doctor's suggestion for a device that will cause chest discomfort, leading Nat to make a potentially dangerous decision.

Chicago Med Season 6 Episode 12 Quotes

Nat: You know this guy?
Will: Yeah. One of my trial patients.

Anna: I get that I'm grounded, but why do I have to come to work with you?
Charles: Because we need to talk.
Anna: I thought we talked plenty last night.
Charles: This is the third time I caught you sneaking out of the house. The third time I found your bed stuffed with clothes.
Anna: You never let me do anything! I'm like a prisoner!
Charles: I would like to be able to let you do more things, but that requires a certain level of trust. Pro-tip: If you want to be trusted, don't sneak out of the house in the middle of the night.
