Chicago Med Season 6 Episode 13 revolves around emotional choices.

When a young boy on a bike is hit by a car, the ED staff is shocked to learn Sharon was the driver. Sharon has no serious injuries, but she is caught up with guilt over the accident. She gets information from Charles and Choi about the boy. He is ten years old and he has a pseudoaneurysm that requires emergency surgery.

Consumed with her sense of responsibility, Sharon visits the mother and tries to talk her into a less invasive procedure, but when she admits she hit Jake, the mother doesn't want to talk to her.

Meanwhile, Nat's mother develops a cough that may be a side effect of the trial medication. Nat lies to her mom about what the medication is and lies to Will about why she wants to know if a dry cough is a common effect of the med. She also panics when Will reveals his plans to investigate what happened to the missing meds and refuses to tell Marcel anything about what's going on.

Finally, April butts heads with Dean during a procedure, while Maggie meets her daughter without telling her who she is.
