Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 3 Episode 17 revolves around a man desperate to get his son back from human traffickers.

Stabler goes undercover at a shipping yard to try to rescue a new batch of victims, but his operation is derailed when a man attacks him. The man is quickly arrested. He is Wen Shao, a teacher from China whose son has been taken by the traffickers.

Stabler wants Wen to give him his contact so they can investigate, but Wen doesn't trust him because the cops in China refused to help. He will only help in exchange for his freedom. Stabler agrees but Wen loses his temper and attacks the contact, again nearly derailing the operation. Stabler tells him to follow his lead.

Next, Stabler tells Wen to stay put while he and the cops raid a factory. Wen doesn't listen and almost gets himself killed. The raid goes forward, but Wen's son is not there.

Stabler realizes Wen is their only hope to get Quan and the traffickers. Bell doesn't like it, but they have no other way to break into a human auction where Bhau and other victims are being sold.
