Law & Order: SVU Season 20 Episode 21 revolves around the case of an Italian girl, Amelia, who is attacked by a cab driver after leaving a strip poker game that made her uncomfortable. Benson quickly discovers Amelia is an Italian exchange student who is living with a host family along with her sister. The host father, Richard, seems controlling and the girls seem scared of him.

The cabbie who assaulted Amelia is arrested almost immediately, but the case is far from over. Amelia's phone has footage of her having sex with two men in their 40s. She claims it was only one time at a party and if Richard knew he would send her home. It turns out Lara had the video on her phone and sent it to Amelia.

One of the men in the video is found and arrested. Carisi and Rollins go to talk to the host family and see what they know, and Carisi sees that there are no doors on the bedrooms. The host mother claims that the girls were sexually abused by their father in Italy. But Rollins and Carisi don't buy the story, and Benson finds something in the transcript of the court hearing in Italy that makes her suspect Richard coached the girls and is the one who abused them.
