The Good Doctor Season 5 Episode 17 revolves around Shaun and Lea's reality show wedding.

The camera crew is ready to film the wedding, and Sophie takes Lea dress shopping. Lea chooses this elegant style and Shaun hates the suit she wants him to wear, but decides that he will put up with the discomfort for her sake. He freaks out at the suit shop and has to remove the jacket. Meanwhile, Lea chooses a dress that isn't really her because she thinks that's what people need to see.

Meanwhile, Claire has come in from Guatemala not just for the wedding but to try to save a patient, a little boy with massive tumors all over his body. The tumors have spread to his heart and brain from his kidneys. Claire oversees three different surgical teams and agrees with Andrews that they should operate on the kidneys first, which Lim disagrees with. There is a complication and Claire thinks Lim was right.

Lim also tries to get help for a nurse who is failing her patients because she is dealing with domestic violence at home. The nurse doesn't think she can call a shelter and offers to resign.
