This Is Us Season 5 Episode 16 focuses on Kevin and Madison's wedding.

Kevin wants everything to be perfect. Nicky is recording every speech of his on his computer. The altar Madison designed has fallen apart and Kevin insists that it needs to be rebuilt and perfect.

Meanwhile, Tess isn't happy with having to wear the bridesmaid's dress. She feels that she is expected to be someone she isn't. Beth decides to redesign the dress for her.

While that's going on, Rebecca insists on talking with Randall about Laurel and how sorry she is that she kept William from him and that she never gave him the outlet to talk about his feelings about being in a mixed-race adoption. Randall tells her about Laurel and shows her photos.

Elsewhere, Toby and Kate argue after Toby wants to take the job in San Francisco. While helping Madison prepare for the wedding, Kate remembers her wedding to Toby and decides the thing to do is resign from her job so they can move to San Francisco and Toby won't have to be home with the kids, but Philip won't let her resign. Toby tells her he will not take the job, but she won't hear of that either. They declare their love for each other.

Finally, Madison recalls painful moments in her life and wonders if marriage is the right step, while in the past Jack and Rebecca fighting over Jack taping over Dynasty leads the kids to ask their parents to get married again in front of them.

This Is Us Season 5 Episode 16 Quotes

Toby: I want to go back to work, Kate. I need to. Staying at home is just... I love our children but...
Kate: Okay. Got it.
Toby: Kate!
Kate: Toby. My husband is contemplating taking a job that puts him in another city three days a week, and he just started a sentence with 'I love my children, but....' Give me a minute to digest this.

Rebecca: You didn't happen to tape the game, did you?
Jack: Oh yeah, the Pirates game. I couldn't keep my eyes open.
Rebecca: And you couldn't see the words DO NOT TAPE OVER? I am stuck here all day with triplets, Jack! I have to wait a week to see a show the whole rest of the world has seen already and I have been humming in the grocery store out of some irrational fear that I might find out who got killed at the wedding before I see it.
