This Is Us Season 5 Episode 14 is about broken dreams and past regrets.

Beth is excited to open her dance studio, but almost immediately afterward COVID hits, and though she tries everything, she can't keep it open.

Beth prepares for a job interview and is secretly glad it had to be rescheduled. Meanwhile, in the past, she gets upset when Randall surprises her with tickets to Swan Lake and asks him to take her home.

Meanwhile, Kate and Toby have a water leak, but Toby doesn't want to call a plumber. Kate has to go meet Rebecca and Madison for dress shopping and then to work. Toby seems upset so she stops talking about work.

While Kate is out and about, Toby ends up calling his dad for help with the leak, a move he's reluctant to make but feels is better than calling Miguel and attracting the attention of all the Pearsons.

Meanwhile, Kevin realizes the movie he was in sucks but has trouble getting other work, and he may have worse problems soon, as a chance encounter with Zoey at the studio gives him pause.
