Baez and Danny meet the plane of a drug cartel boss so they can take him to an arraignment. Or Danny is, anyway.  Baez isn't allowed though she wants to.

A defense attorney offers a press conference saying her client is not guilty of rape and Erin wants to score political points. Erin doesn't care.

Jamie gives a presentation to Frank and the Dream Team about a human trafficking operation. Two troopers died trying to stop the operation. Jamie wants to place an undercover officer and his boss says he wants Jamie to be the one to go undercover. Frank wants to hand the case off to Vice and won't be dissuaded by Jamie's disagreement.

A woman confronts Eddie and says that Eddie lied by not finding her son's killer as promised.

In the car, the cartel boss gives Danny his condolences on Linda's death and other vaguely threatening cases. A fed notices someone followng them. Danny has them pull into an underpass and they switch into another car.

Sid has checked things out and thinks Jamie's people will do a good job. Frank says the troopers who died were tortured and buried alive. Sid says all he cares about is these are bad guys who need to be stopped. Sid realizes Frank is worried about Jamie's safety. Frank says Vice has the numbers.

Eddie confronts the detectives who say they have too many cases to work and Jamal was a drug dealer.

The cartel boss wants to give the cops $10 million each to let him escape. Gates says they can add a bribery charge. He's recorded it.

Erin's victim testifies. She didn't usually go to parties but it was her last chance. Scott gave her a drink and she was poverpowered but has no memory of the event and can't point out her attacker. Erin says Shayla gave a statement. Shayla says she doesn't know who raped her.

Gates and Danny watch a western together. Danny says he wanted to be a cowboy but was sacred of horses. They hear a noise and find  intruders with machine guns

Rodrieguez is now in a safe house. Gates wonders how long it will be safe. Danny wonders if there is a mole.

Eddie asks Carla who says these detectives are solid but too old school. Also no one would prioritize this case. Eddie says Jamie said that too. Darla wonders if Eddie is asking her because she's Black. She says this is a difficult case.

Shayla says she's sorry. She lost all her job offers. Erin threatens to send Shayla to prison for perjury. Shayla says that Lisa told her that if she ID'd Scott she'd lose everything but she could help her start hre career.

Jamie's boss says that Frank had a point and maybe Frank didn't want his son risking his life. Fleming tells Jamie about the torture and says Frank looks at things from the perspective of how many cops come home alive.

Danny amnd Gates identify a potential suspect.

Eddie and Carla talk to a manager who hires ex-cons to give them a second chance. He and Jamal went way back. It was hard seeing Jamal get into crime. He says Jamal was in a gang.

Rodriguez doesn't like the Mexican food he is given. Gates finds out that Martin was killed at the fake location they were given. Rodriguez tries to offer them money again. Gates feels guilty about Martin's death.

Erin and Anthony talk to a secuirty guard/former cop who only knows Scott is a great basketball player. He says he can't help as he has to take his break He leaves his computer open to a page saying that Scott was accused of raping someone else in 2019.

Eddie and Carla find out Jamal got a lot of calls from a number.

Sean makes dinner. Everyone but Frank is sure they should order pizza instead. Frank eats the food and loves it.

After dinner, Jamie talks to Frank. He says his boss thinks Frank is trying to keep him out of the line of fire, which Frank denies. He says the Vice team is more experienced. Jamie says Danny's mission is far more dangerous and he's just as capable.

Gates and Danny go over their plan. Someone gives Danny an envelope. It's photos of Jack and Nicky. Danny wants to bring them home. He says that Rodriguez will be arraigned in a few hours. He says the cartel got to Linda and he couldn't stop them. Frank says that they will protect the family.

Erin has evidence that Scott raped three other women. She is not offering a deal. She is telling him and Lisa that they are both going down.

A guy tries to run from the cops. Eddie and Carla accuse him of killing Jamal. He says Jamal wanted out and Tristan was pissed. Didn't they know Tristan was Ace Double Tre?

Danny says there's no protecting the kids from the cartel. Gates has an idea. If something has to happen to Rodriguez the cartel will have no reason to bother the kids. He has a whole plan to assassinate Rodriguez. Danny is not going to allow him to do that.

Erin has a press conference.

Eddie and Carla confront Tristan who confesses to killing Jamal.

Danny has photos of Rodriguez's daughters and says if something happens to his family he might quit the force and do something to them.

Jamie comes to see Frank who says Jamie is wrong and he doesn't think Danny is a better cop. He resents having to prove it. But here is not for father-son stuff. He is transferring the investigation to Jamie's team. He wants full debriefings before any undercover mission. And he wants Jamie to be careful.
