Recap

Some guy sees people watching him while he puts his trash cans away. He immediately gets in a fight with his wife because he wants the car and she has to drive the kids to school. She drives him to work. He doesn't know what time he'll e home.

He calls a guy nnamed Frank and complains he's late again and trying to screw him over. Some other guy shows up. He hasn't heard from Frank either. He whispers that he's being followed by the Feds and he thinks Frank was arrested. Llloyd doesn't believe him and offers him a ride home that he declines.

In the middle of the night, the wife wakes up looking for her husband. SHe hears noises in the basement and takes a baseball bat to check it out. She hears the dryer going and finds Phil's head in it.

the Feds have called Stabler and Bell in. Stabler doesn't see why this is an OC case, even after learning McBride lied about losing his job 5 months ago. The Feds explain he was beheaded while sleeping on the couch and that he was involved in some bank robberies. Also Frnak was found dead in a Walgreens parking lot -- executed by bullet. The Feds want them to help figure out the connection and what exactly is going on here?

The weapon was a jag saw and the head was removed post death.

Stabler tells Bell the victims were not criminal masterminds -- they were dads and amateurs. Maybe they told someone.

Emily says Phil was a good man who loved his kids. She's shocked to learn Phil was laid off and was robbing banks. She does tell them that he's reconnected with Lloyd recently.

The cops look into Lloyd. They think maybe he's the third bank robber. After some words with the Federal agent, they put a team together to check into Lloyd.

The cops follow Llloyd who goes into a fenced area with gloves on, cuts some electrical wires, and grabs a duffel bag to throw in the back of his truck. Stabler tries to stop him. He turns on his engine but appears to listen when Stabler tells him to turn it off.

.Lloyd is arrested and asks for a cushion as he has a bad back. He acts like he's shocked there is money in the duffel bag. He hems and haws but eventually says Phil gave him the bag and told him to hide it. Phil liked him despite their issues. He prentends not to have heard of Frank.  He also has no emotional reaction to learnng about Phil's murder.

Lloyd says Phil bullied him in high school but so what?

Stabler says that Renee is being questioned by the Feds. Lloyd tries to find out if Stabler is married. Stabler won't answer until Lloyd notices the lack of wedding ring. Then Stabler says his wife died. Stabler says he has texts of Phil interfering with Lloyd and Renee. Also Frank and Phil planned to kill Lloyd.

While Bell is ordering surveillance video of the robberies, Lloyd gives Stabler an alibi for the night of Phil's murder. Stabler gets security footage of a Con-Electric truck next to a bank being robbed. Also the gun used to kill Frank was in Renee's car. So... Lloyd killed Frank and had someone whack Phil? Lloyd nods. He says Phil once locked him in the dryer and turned it on so he put his head in ione.

Bell calls Stabler.  They have a DNA match -- but the perp was in prison the night of the murder.

A CO says that Junior Suarez is ex BX9 and is doing life. Suarez is doing dialysis and loves being in prison as his health care is paid for.

Suarez says he's been right here the whole time. The CO backs him up.

Bell and Stabler agree that this is not possible. But they need to be able to explain this before they can go to a jury.

Stabler asks to look at the visitor log. The guard on duty gives them a hard time. They find out Suarez's twin sister visits a lot.

Reyes goes to the dentist because the sister is working as a hygienist. He confronts her and threatens to arrest her for obstruction. She admits Junior came to her house the other night.

Next the cops learn that the CO they spoke with givs prisoners furloughs and appears to be living the high life on his comparatively low salary. Time to set up a sting.

After an elaborate set up, a prisoner who sneaked out and the CO are arrested -- except the CO decides to run upstairs and try to set some sort of device. Pendegast pretends not to know the prisoner.

Pendergast wants his union rep and a lawyer.

The prisoner says he gets unofficial furloughs and does hits for Pendegast. He is the king on the inside. He doesn't believe that Suarez got paid.

Stabler suspects Suarez did a second job that night to get that 25K. Bell tells him to call Major Crimes.

Stabler comes home and the aide says Mama wanted to make dinner for him and appreciate what you got while you got it. Bernie has set a third place for Kathy. She can't believe she forgot that Kathy died. Stabler says Kathy is always here with them anyway. Stabler gets a call that they traced Suarez to another homicide. Bernie says she can stay here alone but Stabler says he will wait til tomorrow. She says Anonia is not working tomorrow.

Stabler takes his mom with him while he canvasses and tells her to stay in the car. She doesn't even wait a second before disobeying him.

A neighbor doesn't care that the woman was killed as she was an annoying neighbor. Bernie shows up with a uniform who found her across the street.  He asks the uniform to stay with his mother and they all go into the house. Bernie finds notes. The uniform tells her to stop touching things. She looks at photos and says she lost her husband so young . Stabler moves her out of his way.

Bell tells Stabler this is no longer their case. Stabler says Rachel didn't know any bad guys -- who paid Junior to kill her and why? Bell wants him to go home. Stabler tells her how his mom set a place for Kathy. She tell shim home, now, it's a direct order. Naturally, Stabler does no such thing, instead collecting photos in the office and calling for Jet. He goes into the interrogation room and sees a woman who looks like Kathy.
