Recap

The cops raid a fancy-looking house, looking for Vaughn. The house appears to be empty. Reyes finds a pair of boxing gloves which leads to a flashback of a foster parent making Vaughn beat him up in a boxing match.

Vaughn calls Reyes and says he's with him in spirit. He says his crew will turn up the heat now.  Now it' s time for payback for the bald pig who shot Dante. He plans to kill cops. Stabler discovers a bomb. Jet almost doesn't make it out. Their car explodes.

Everyone is okay. Reyes wants to talk to Dante. Bell thinks his questioning will be inadmissible. Reyes says Dante will tell him stuff he won't tell anyone else. Stabler agrees.

Vaughn is sure he wants to kill cops.

Dante claims he told them everything he knew. He didn't know about the bomb. Dante says he hadn't spoken to Vaughn in years. He had to go along with this. Reyes has a flashback of the foster father abusing him.

The chief doesn't want to believe Vaughn is against cops in general rather than just Stabler. Why is Stabler always looking at this department when things go wrong?

Stabler asks Jet to look into Vaughn's connection to the department. Jet was not able to trace the call and almost died for nothing.

Manny's lawyer claims Manny doesn't know Vaughn and is entirely uncooperative. She wants something big for her client in return.

Stabler talks to Reyes who asks if there were kids inside Leonard's home and hangs up.

Vaughn drives by two cops and shoots at them.

Stabler tells Bell it was an ambush and Whalen says uniforms are going business to business to see if there are cameras and get info.

Jet calls and says Vaughn was kicked out of the police academy but his record was sealed.

Reyes goes to Leonard's house where a boy threatens to call the cops. Reyes shows him a badge. Inside, he finds another boy whose back is full of cigarette burns. Reyes says he has them too and promises to stop Leonard from hurting the boys. He hears noise upstairs and sneaks up to see what's going on. Meanwhile, Leonard takes off in a car.

A teacher says psychos are different today. He says Vaughn was cocky and lazy and wanted the badge but not to earn it. He reveals that Vaughn was a problem and was attacked with Brillo pads. There was one guy who dropped out after Vaughn did, named Paul Fink (seriously?)

A guy working with Vaughn thinks they should lay low instead of doing this. Vaughn shoots them for their disloyalty.

Stabler and Whalen go to find Paul and some woman says what did he do now? She says he's probably at the pool hall losing money. She doesn't want him going to prison until he pays his part of the rent.

Bell calls Reyes and says she needs him at the squad room. He says he'll make this quick.

Stabler and Whelan approach Paul, who runs away and tries to attack them. He is arrested and refuses to talk. Whelan wants to try. Whelan gets him to give him a name: Nate Reynolds.

Reyes continues to follow Leonard.

Nate claims to not know what the cops are talking about and denies knowing either Fink or Vaughn. He claims he was suspended because the Woke Committee got to him for doing his job.

Stabler tells Whelan to share any hunches he has. Whelan says Reynolds is lying and he wants to do whatever it takes about it.

Stabler calls Bell who says he wants to do everything and Bell says she wants to talk to IAB about Reynolds first.  She wants Stabler to give her five minutes.

Lillian got Bell extra help and is mad she won't go to lunch.

Jet calls Reyes and says Bell is freaking out and he'd better get back here right away.

Stabler watches Reynolds get into a car and decides to follow him.

Stabler tells Whalen to record this. They watch Reynolds dump gear in a dumpster. Stabler tells Whalen to decide what to do next.

Reyes confronts Leonard, who says he ran because the boys were lying. Reyes says he used to tell them that. Leonard says you were boys and needed to get your energy out. Reyes says he's talking about what happened behind closed doors. Leonard says he never did anything to Reyes, did he?  Reyes says why not? Something wrong with him? Leonard would never want to hurt Reyes. He tries to comfort broken boys. Reyes says he has to stop destroying them. Leonard says it's his word against children no one wants. Reyes pulls out his gun.

Bell tells Fink to work with her. She says he'd better tell her where Vaughn is or he's going away for assaulting Stabler. Fink tells her about a rundown apartment Vaughn meets a creepy old dude at.

Stabler and Whalen see someone who might be Vaughn pull up. It's a kid who is freaking out and says a guy paid him $300 to park here. There is a lot of shooting all of a sudden. Stabler says they found Vaughn.

The cops run and Stabler calls for backup. Vaughn shoots at them again and Whalen almost gets hit.

Vaughn calls Reynolds and tells him he'd better help because he'll give him up if he's arrested.

Bell approaches the apartment. She calls for Reyes and finds Leonard tied up. He says Vaughn still comes here. Leonard says Vaughn told him he'd go out in a blaze of glory.

Vaughn tries to shoot at the cops and gets shot. Vaughn claims he would have made a good cop as he is arrested.

Dante's girlfriend sees Reyes at the hospital. She tells Reyes that Dante is gone. He had a blood clot that killed him. Reyes is upset he didn't get to tell him that Leonard has been neutralized.

Bell tells Stabler he did a good job. Stabler says he couldn't have done it without Whalen. He doesn't feel like going out and takes a bottle of booze out of his drawer "for emergencies."  Pearl calls and says she has important information.

Gutsy move back there. Don't ever do it again.

Stabler

Vaughn: Good to see you again, little Rey. I'm sorry I can't be with you at my house.
Reyes: Where are you?
Vaughn: I'm with you in spirit. I'm about to turn up the heat.
Reyes: What's that mean?
Vaughn: I have all the money I need now. From now on it's about payback, especially for that bald pig that shot Dante.
