Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 1 Episode 7 involves Stabler's intensified attempts to catch Wheatley.

Stabler and Bell put a mole in Wheatley's organization who poses as an Italian mobster eager to do business with him, but not before Stabler has a new security guard fatally shoots Izak in front of Richie and explains to him that he had to eliminate the only eyewitness to GIna's murder. This puts a wrinkle in Stabler's plan, but he and Bell decide to go ahead with it anyway.

However, the other cops who are supposed to be backing them up are not inclined to help once news breaks that Bell's wife is suing the police department, leaving Bell with only Stabler, Morales, and Washburn to help arrest Wheatley and his associates. Jet overhears and asks to be part of the mission too, but they are still very shorthanded; however, Stabler is confident they can pull it off.

When Wheatley discovers the cops' security camera, he decides to change locations and instead meet with the mole in the subway, where there is poor reception, but Jet has an idea to fix that. The cops manage to record Wheatley's latest illegal plan, but he escapes onto a subway train, forcing Stabler to chase him from car to car.
